The capital of the Czech Republic is both a modern city and architectural treasure whose historic centre has been on the UNESCO world heritage list since 1992. It is also a place pulsing with cultural life.

Prague contains all architectural styles: Romanesque rotundas, Gothic spires and cathedrals, Renaissance chateaux and palaces, Jewish synagogues, Baroque churches and monasteries, Cubist and Art Nouveau structures. All of them are located on 866 hectares of the historic city centre. In recent years, international studies have ranked Prague among the most attractive towns for meetings and congress or incentive tourism. Prague offers a wide range of historic monuments and places for organising various events, including hotels, conference halls, and restaurants. It is also the seat of the president, legislature, administration, and political subjects as well as important social, cultural, and educational institutions. The famous Charles University (founded 1348) belongs among the oldest universities in Europe. Thanks to its attractiveness, the city has been chosen by Hollywood filmmakers for making numerous films.

Let Prague inspire you, as it has many outstanding artists and scientists in the past. Its mysterious atmosphere is reflected in the work of the local native Franz Kafka. W. A. Mozart, who was “understood by the people of Prague”, completed and presented here his best opera, Don Giovanni. As an important university city, it became a home to many personalities, whose discoveries and inventions make the present world what it is. Prague is never “out of season”. The local artistic life includes excellent operas, concerts, theatres and ballet. The city hosts the famous annual Prague Spring festival of classical music, several international film festivals, Prague International Jazz Festival and many other events.

Prague is remarkable for its astonishing wealth of architectural monuments, arts and historic places, but also for being modern and dynamic. It is a real European cultural centre whose breath-taking atmosphere leaves unforgettable impressions on its visitors. Historic palaces, merchants’ houses and modern architecture stand here next to each other in perfect symbiosis. All of this makes Prague an exceptionally attractive place worth visiting.

Prague shows progress in every detail. It may pride itself on a perfectly working public transport system, excellent public facilities, and a wide range of top-quality services. Its offer of conference spaces is also diverse and includes historic jewels in the city centre as well as modern conference centres equipped with the latest technology, which hosted for example IMF or NATO meetings. With culinary experience offered by local restaurants and catering companies added, the result will be perfect indeed.

Prague is an important traffic junction. The Václav Havel Airport serves for 53 airlines offering flights to 130 destinations in 52 countries worldwide. The journey from the airport to the centre takes only 30 minutes. Prague has three international railway stations and a coach station, all connected with underground stations. A motorway system connecting it with other important European cities makes it easily accessible from any corner of the planet. Moreover, any location in the centre may be reached within a few minutes, by walking. Museums, restaurants, monuments, relaxation and entertainment venues – everything is literally within the reach.

Prague offers the top quality for a favourable price. It has over 70,000 beds in accommodation facilities, most of them built in the past decade and offering the top standard. Prague PCO and DMC provide high-quality and complex services. This is another reason why Prague is an ideal destination for international conference events.
